Land Rover Greensboro Delivers 2,500 Books to Bookmarks Organization

Land Rover Greensboro recently took part in the Defender Book Trek, a program that provides reading material to organizations throughout the country. A select group of Land Rover retailers from across the nation were chosen to take part in this purpose-driven, cross-country journey launching from JLR North America.

On October 31, 2025, Land Rover Greensboro was excited to deliver 2,500 books to Bookmarks in Winston-Salem, NC. Bookmarks is a literary arts nonprofit that cultivates community by bringing people of all ages together with books and authors who educate, inspire, challenge, and entertain. Land Rover Greensboro was ecstatic to help increase access to books for children and adults across our community.
"We're grateful to partner with Land Rover Greensboro and the Defender Book Trek in helping to get more books into the hands of students and educators across our community. Bookmarks is proud to help connect these donations to local schools where they'll inspire new readers and support literacy efforts. We appreciate being part of this effort to share the power of reading," says Jamie Rogers Southern, Executive Director at Bookmarks.

The Defender Book Trek brings together Defender retailers across the country in a mission to promote literacy nationwide. Each retailer will distribute approximately 2,500 children's books to worthy local charities, while the Defender Book Trek continues across the nation.  More than just a drive, this is a national relay of generosity-bringing together communities, retailers, and the Defender brand in a shared mission to create a meaningful impact, highlighting the brand's commitment to purpose and helping those in need.

"Since inception, the Defender legacy of vehicles has been used around the world in service to their communities. The Defender Book Drive allows our team at Land Rover Greensboro honor that legacy locally by supporting Bookmarks and their mission of building an inclusive, curious and connected community through books," says Chris Jordan, General Manager at Land Rover Greensboro.
